Georgia Tech's Ulrike Stegemann Earns Academic All-District Honors

Georgia Tech volleyball standout Ulrike Stegemann was named to the Academic all-District III volleyball third team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

To be eligible for the Academic All-District teams, a player must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better and be a starter or important reserve.

Stegemann, a sophomore from Schwerin, Germany, is a first-time honoree who maintains a 3.89 GPA in Management. She was the starting rightside hitter for the volleyball team, which ended the 2005 season with a 16-15 record. A second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection this season, Stegemann ended the year third on the team in kills with 336 and second on the team with a .270 hitting percentage.
