Defensive specialist who joined the team as a walk-on in 2003 after spending a year on scholarship at Wingate University, a Division II school . . . 2004:

Also recorded digs in matches against Miami (Ohio), at Wake Forest and at NC State . . . Posted a career-best three service aces against NC State on 9/25 . . . Recorded her only assist of the season against Central Florida.
2003:
Saw action in 16 games . . . Recorded a career-high four digs against Georgia State and NC State . . . In her only appearance on the front row, she notched her only kill of the season against Alabama A&M in the NCAA Tournament . . . Posted service aces during the season against Temple, Western Carolina and Florida State . . . Also notched an assist and a dig at home against the Seminoles.
2002 (At Wingate):
Defensive specialist and libero who saw action in 107 games as a freshman and was voted MVP by her teammates . . . Named second team all-South Atlantic as a libero in her first season . . . Led the team in digs with 419 while averaging 3.92 digs per game, which was second on the team . . . Helped the team to a 22-8 record, one of the best seasons in school history.
High School/Personal:
Four-year letterwinner at outside hitter for Pope High School who also served as the team's captain and was named Most Valuable Player in 2000 . . . Named the Defensive Player of the Year by the Atlanta Journal Constitution following the 2001 season . . . Also earned all-state honors in 2000 and '01 . . . Recorded 27 kills in a single match, which was a state record when she graduated from high school . . . Finished as the career leader in digs at Pope High School . . . Also earned a letter in tennis . . . Bright student who graduated with a 4.0 G.P.A. and in the top 10 percent of her class of 535 . . . Member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, German Club and served as treasurer of the Young Republicans in high school . . . Participated in the Senior All-Star game for Georgia . . .
