ATLANTA - Noelle Hickey teamed with Christy Striplin for a tiebreaker doubles win before battling for a three-set singles victory to lead Georgia Tech on day two of the National Collegiate Tennis Classic, which is being held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, Calif.

Hickey and Striplin knocked off Southern Cal's talented duo of Lindsey Nelson and Maria Sanchez with a 7-5 victory in the tiebreaker, 9-8 (5), but Tech's other doubles tandem of Sasha Krupina and Maya Johansson didn't fare as well, as they were shut out by UCLA's Tracy Lin and Riza Zalameda, 8-0.

Hickey notched a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win against USC's Eleyla Entekhabi, and Krupina won her consolation match against Stephanie Wetmore of UCLA, 6-2, 6-2. Johansson, the No. 1 singles seed in the tournament, dropped her first singles match of the weekend, 6-4, 6-2, to Stanford's Carolyn McVeigh while No. 3 Andrea Remynse of UCLA knocked off Striplin, the No. 6 seed in the event, 6-4, 6-3.

Tech will wrap up NCTC play Sunday afternoon.
