In the NCAA Regional, she was perfrect against Southern University on May 15, retiring all 15 batters she faced, fanning 11 of them ... Tallied 107 strikeouts on the season ... Posted five shutouts on the year ... Ranked second on the Tech squad with 132.2 innings pitched ... As a Freshman (2001): Became Tech's top pitcher as a rookie ... Led the Jackets in a number of pitching categories, including wins, strikeouts, saves, shutouts and complete games ... Finished the season with a 12-18 record, while recording three solo shutouts and four saves, along with 119 strikeouts ... Her four saves led the Atlantic Coast Conference and ranked among the national leaders ... Her season was among the most productive in Tech history, as her 25 complete games equaled the third-best single-season mark, her 119 strikeouts were the third-best total and her 200.0 innings pitched were fourth all-time ... Top outing came in Tech's win over 16th-ranked Florida State, as she held the Seminoles to one run on five hits in eight innings, while fanning six batters ... For her efforts, she was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week, as she won three straight decisions that week, including a pair of victories over Harvard on March 27 ... ACC Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Was a four-year letterwinner at Westlake High School, and served as team captain for two seasons ... Set a pair of career records while at Westlake, as she finished her career as the school's all-time strikeout leader and recorded the most shutouts in school history ... Voeltz fanned 582 batters in 482.1 innings of work in her career ... Was named first-team All-Ventura County all three years she was a member of Westlake team ... Led the league in strikeouts in 1998 and `99, along with being named team MVP all three years ... Member of the All-Marmonte League second team in 1997 & `98, and was named to the first team in 1999 ... In the summer, helped lead the Southern California Stealth to a third-place finish at last year's 18 & under nationals as she went 22-6 with a 0.80 ERA ... Participated in both the Daily News All-Star game and the Ventura County All-Star game ... Was a member of the National Charity League and the honor roll while at Westlake ... Graduated in the top 10 percent of her high school class.
