Felicia Coursey enters her first season as volunteer assistant coach at Georgia Tech. Coursey will work with the infielders and assist with hitting and on-campus recruiting.

Coursey was a two-year letterwinner for the Yellow Jackets from 2000-2003. She ended her career with a lifetime batting average of .245 and a .982 fielding percentage at second base. Coursey hit 13 doubles, eight triples, four home runs and drove in 29 runs over the course of two seasons.

The Conyers, Ga., native is majoring in science, technology and culture at Tech.

As an Athlete

As a Senior (2003): Started in all 62 games for the Jackets at second base ... Hit .245 for the season ... Led the team with 11 stolen bases in 17 attempts ... Posted a .985 fielding percentage in the middle of the infield ... Ranked second on the team with 10 doubles ... Drove in 18 runs for Tech, while hitting two triples and two home runs ... Had 13 multi-hit games which led the Tech squad ... Went 3-for-4 versus Georgia State, driving in a season-high three runs on March 12 ... Ended the Furman doubleheader 5-for-7, with one RBI on Feb. 18 ... ACC Honor Roll.

As a Junior (2002): Started 69 games at second base and in the leadoff spot...Led the Jackets with 225 at bats and six triples...Her triple total tied for second in the ACC and equaled the third-best single-season mark in Tech history…Ranked second on the team with 39 runs scored and 11 stolen bases…Recorded 12 multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 effort against Jacksonville State on February 26...Also scored multiple runs in nine games…Stood fourth on the team with a .979 fielding percentage…Recorded just five errors in 236 chances at second base…Helped turn seven double plays…Hit her second home run of the season to give Tech a 1-0 lead over Alabama in the eighth inning of the opening game of the NCAA Regional…Also homered against Georgia State on February 20.
