As a Freshman (2002-03): Made a huge impact on Techs distance freestyle events as a rookie, ranking second on the team in both the 500 and 1650 freestyle events
Became the first Yellow Jacket freshman to qualify for the NCAA Championships
Finished 18th in the 1650 free (15:15.46) and 39th in the 500 free (4:24.60) at NCAAs
Helped Techs 800 freestyle relay set a new school record with a time of 6:36.12 at the conference championship
Finished fifth with a NCAA B qualifying mark of 4:24.60 in the 500 free at the ACC Championships
Placed 10th at the ACC meet in the 400 individual medley (3:57.09)
Finished 20th at U.S. Nationals in the 1500-meter free (16:07.99).
