AT TECH: Talented athlete who blossomed into one of the nation’s top receivers over the last two seasons . . . Elected to enter the NFL draft following his junior season . . . On third-and- seven from the Tech 46, he took a pass from Joe Hamilton at the Virginia 45 on the left hash and outran five defenders as he raced across the field and down the right sideline for the score . . . Had six receptions for 171 yards in Tech’s win at North Carolina . . . Caught touchdown passes of 56 and 20 yards against the Tar Heels, both times beating UNC all-America cornerback Dré Bly . . . Career-high seven catches against Clemson, including a 13-yard gain down to the four-yard line to set up the winning touchdown . . . Only reception against Wake Forest was a 51-yard touchdown . . . Caught a 53-yard touchdown pass against Duke on the fifth play of the game. Returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown against Maryland, equalling the second-longest return in school history . . . 1997: Tech’s kickoff return specialist as a true freshman . . . Averaged 23.6 yards per return to rank fifth in the ACC and 40th nationally . . . Returned 14 kicks for 330 yards . . . Named ACC Specialist of the Week for his performance against Duke, when he became the first freshman in Georgia Tech history to return a kickoff for a touchdown . . . Went 95 yards for the score, spinning and breaking tackles along the way . . . At the time, the 95-yard return was the sixth longest in school history and longest since 1986 . . . Also Tech’s first kickoff return for a touchdown since 1990 . . . Totalled 141 yards on four returns for the game . . .
