AT TECH: Tall, athletic defensive end with tremendous pass-rushing ability . . . Tech's top backup at defensive end who sees plenty of action, especially on passing downs . . . Has freakish athletic ability.

2006: Second on the team with five sacks . . . Has 33 tackles, six tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and two pass breakups . . . Made two key plays in Tech's win over Maryland with sacks on the Terps' final two snaps . . . With the Jackets leading 27-23 in the final minute, Maryland faced third-and-goal at the Tech four-yard line, when Johnson burst off the edge to sack quarterback Sam Hollenbach for a 10-yard loss and an additional five yards for grounding . . . Johnson again sacked Hollebach on fourth down to preserve the victory . . . Sat out the first two games of the season due to injury, then had five tackles, a sack, two pass breakups and a forced fumble against Troy in his first game . . . Also had five tackles with two tackles for loss, incluidng one sack, against Miami . . . Had a sack and two forced fumbles against Wake Forest.

2005: Against Connecticut, he forced a fumble on kickoff coverage that Tech recovered to set up a touchdown . . . Had a sack against Virginia Tech . . . Totalled six tackles on the season . . . Saw most of his action on special teams . . . One of eight true freshmen to play in 2005.
