AT TECH: Two-year starter at cornerback . . . Entered his senior season as Tech’s only returning starter in the secondary . . . Steady player whom coaches describe as a very good technican . . . Started every game the last two seasons as well five games as a freshman in 2000 . . . Career totals of 153 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two interceptions, three fumble recoveries and 19 pass breakups.

2003: Started every game and collected 60 tackles, with four tackles for loss . . . Had one interception and a team-leading six pass breakups . . . Made the the play of the game in Tech’s win over Maryland with his fumble recovery, which he returned 17 yards to the Terps 18-yard line to set up the game’s only touchdown . . . . Had an interception against Duke to set up a Tech touchdown . . . Season-high eight tackles and one pass breakup in win over Auburn.

2002: Started every game and made 51 tackles, with three tackles for loss and one sack . . . Had eight pass breakups and a fumble recovery . . . Made eight tackles, including one tackle for loss, and a pass deflection in Tech’s win over Virginia . . . Career-high nine tackles versus Georgia . . . Had tackles for loss against BYU, North Carolina and Virginia . . . Made four tackles and two pass breakups while blocking a field goal in Tech’s win over Duke; his blocked field goal was the first by a Yellow Jacket since 1996 . . . Had a sack and a fumble recovery to help Tech defeat North Carolina . . . Broke up two passes against Fresno State.

2001: Totalled 11 tackles on the season . . . Had three tackles and a pass breakup against the Navy . . . Season-high five tackles against the Citadel . . . Missed the final two games due to a concussion.

2000: Started five games as a true freshman and made 25 tackles on the season . . . Saw his first action in the secondary against Florida State and had three tackles, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery . . . Made an interception against NC State . . . Season-high six tackles with two pass breakups against Wake Forest.

HIGH SCHOOL: Honorable mention all-America by USA Today . . . Rated the No. 65 prospect in the Midwest by SuperPrep . . . Recorded 140 tackles as a senior with four interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown . . . Had a school-record 18 tackles in one game . . . Also played wide receiver and caught 18 passes for 250 yards and seven touchdowns . . . Made 72 tackles and three interceptions as a junior, along with 500 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns . . . Two-time all-conference selection and the conference MVP as a senior . . . Coached by Jim Grannon at De La Salle, which won the Catholic League championship in 1999 . . . Also lettered four years in track . . . Member of the National Honor Society.
