Dickey Ruled Ineligible for Basketball

Aug. 18, 2007

ATLANTA - Georgia Tech center Ra'Sean Dickey has been ruled academically ineligible to compete in basketball in the fall semester, head coach Paul Hewitt announced Saturday.

"Ra'Sean realizes he has fallen short on his academic responsibilities and knows he has work to do in the fall in order to play," said Hewitt.

The 6-9 senior from Clio, S.C., who started 23 games last year, was Tech's fourth-leading scorer (8.1 points per game) and second leading rebounder (5.3 per game), while tying for the team lead in field goal percentage (59.6 pct.).
