  • Brandon Boggs pinch-ran and scored.

  • LF Marlon Byrd (.297) went 1-for-4.

  • SS Nomar Garciaparra (.235) was 0-for-3.

  • 2B David Newhan (.237) went 1-for-3.

  • 2B Eric Patterson (.182) was 1-for-3.

  • CF Jay Payton (.257) went 1-for-4.

  • CF Charlie Blackmon (.332) extended his hitting streak to 15 games by going 1-for-4 including a strikeout. In the process, Blackmon established a new team record with his 85th hit of the season.
