In The Majors

  • LF Brandon Boggs (.236) went 1-for-4 with a walk.

  • RF Marlon Byrd (.296) was 2-for-4 with a strikeout.

  • SS Nomar Garciaparra (.269) went 2-for-4 with a strikeout.

  • 2B David Newhan (.208) was 1-for-4 with a double and two strikeouts.

  • LF Eric Patterson (.148) went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.

  • CF Jay Payton (.238) was 0-for-4.

  • 1B Mark Teixeira (.354) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout.

  • LF Matt Murton (.285) was 0-for-5 with a walk and a strikeout.

  • C Mike Nickeas (.220) went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and a strikeout.
