Summer Baseball Update: Thursday action

A recap of summer league play from July 24, 2008

  • 2B Derek Dietrich (.269) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts as Team USA beat Chinese-Taipei 3-2 in 11 innings as a part of pool play in the 2008 FISU World Championships at Brno, Czech Republic.

  • DH Chris House (.264) was 2-for-5.

  • LHP Taylor Wood faced five batters in relief. His line: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO.
