Tall and powerful pitcher who has spent three years on the Georgia Tech pitching staff ... An excellent all-around athlete that has a commanding presence on the mound ... Made just one appearance in 2005 before having season ending shoulder surgery ... Did not return to the mound until midway through the 2006 season, making just one appearance while continuing to rehab his shoulder ... Began 2007 out of the bullpen, but quickly emerged as Tech's midweek starter before ending the season as the Jackets' No. 2 weekend starter ... Has good velocity on his fastball, and throws a breaking ball and a changeup.

Selected in the 16th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft, but elected to return to Georgia Tech with two years of eligibility remaining.

Named to the 2007 ACC Honor Roll.

2007: Was a key component of the Georgia Tech pitching staff, making 18 appearances, 12 of which were starts ... Started four midweek games and was Tech's Saturday starter in the last seven weekend series ... Also started the Jackets' second game in the ACC Tournament ... Began the season by holding Illinois-Chicago (2/16) scoreless on one hit in an inning of work ... Tossed a scoreless and hitless inning against Georgia State (2/21) in his second appearance of the season ... Held Duquesne (2/23) hitless and scoreless in three innings of work ... Picked up a win in his second career start by tossing a complete-game shutout at Georgia State (3/21), giving up just five hits while striking out four and walking two ... Earned win No. 2 on the season against Georgia Southern (3/27) by holding the Eagles to two runs (1 ER) on eight hits while striking out a career-high 10 batters ... Picked up win No. 3 against Wofford (4/3) by holding the Terriers to just three hits while striking out five ... Tossed 6.1 strong innings at Miami, giving up just two runs, only one of which was earned, on five hits while striking out six ... Held USF (5/6) to one unearned run on just two hits while striking out six in 6.1 innings of work ... Gave up just one unearned run on three hits while striking out three in four innings at UNC (5/12) ... Limited Virginia to one run on five hits while striking out five in six innings of work at the ACC Tournament, but did not figure into the decision.

2006: Appeared in just one game against Georgia Southern (4/4) while continuing to rehab his shoulder.

2005: Made one appearance before having season-ending shoulder surgery ... Received a redshirt.

High School: A four-year letterwinner for coach Ben Moore at Hiram High School ... Received the varsity pitching award all four years ... Also a four year letterman as a quarterback at Hiram ... Played summer ball with the East Cobb Yankees in 2003 and 2004, winning the Connie Mack World Series in 2003 when he posted an 8-1 record and 1.69 ERA in 57.2 innings.
