Eight Yellow Jackets Named Swimming & Diving Academic All-Americans

ATLANTA - Eight members of the Georgia Tech Swimming & Diving team were named Academic All-Americans it was announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for the 2007-08 season.

Elizabeth Stowe, Hannah Krimm, Stephanie England, Agatha Kwasnik and Noah Copeland were named to the Academic All-American team, while Andy Miller, Peter Doblar and Mickey Malul were honorable mention selections.

"These student-athletes have done such an outstanding job in balancing both the academic and swimming and diving," head coach Stu Wilson said. "They deserve this award because of their hard work in the pool and in the classroom, which is not an easy thing to do at Georgia Tech. We're proud of these student-athletes as they have continued the tradition of achieving the Academic All American year in and year out for Georgia Tech."

In addition, both teams were recognized for having a team cumulative grade point average above a 3.0. Stowe and Miller led the way with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
