Swimming & Diving Honors Student-Athletes At End Of Year Banquet

ATLANTA - The Georgia Tech swimming and diving teams celebrated another great season by honoring several student-athletes at the end of year banquet recently. The Yellow Jackets set 19 school records in 2007-08 and sent five participants (Noah Copeland, Stephanie England, Hannah Krimm, Agatha Kwasnik and Elizabeth Stowe) to the NCAA Championships.

AWARDS

* J. Herb McAuley Freshman Unity Award: Jeffrey Phillips and Katherine Locker

* Chapman/Hiles Most Improved Athlete: Andy Miller and Taylor Flynn

* Tommy Towles Scholar Athlete: Andy Miller and Elizabeth Stowe

* Shilo Ayalon Most Valuable Athlete: Onur Uras, Agatha Kwasnik and Stephanie England

 

 

* Fred Lanoue Athletic Achievement: Noah Copeland and Hannah Krimm

For the first time in school history, two Tech divers earned All-American honors as Stephanie England and Hannah Krimm took home the awards. Mickey Malul was an ACC champion in the 100-breast, while Copeland, England, Krimm, Kwasnik, Malul, Miller and Uras each earned All-ACC recognition.
